World-renowned composer Vangelis has passed away aged 79.
The Greek musician had a long career, but he’s perhaps best remembered for his iconic composition for the 1981 movie Chariots of Fire. Notably, he also composed the music for the 1982 cult classic Blade Runner.
Vangelis passed away in hospital in France from complications arising from Covid-19.
