Yellow status rainfall warning issued for seven counties




A yellow status rainfall warning has been issued for seven counties as up to 40mm of rain is expected overnight and early Wednesday.

According to Met Eireann between 25 and 40mm of rainfall is expected which may cause some localised flooding.

The warning which will come into effect from 9pm this evening will apply to Wexford, Wicklow, Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

It is expected that the warning will remain in place until 12pm on Wednesday.
