A large anti-lockdown and anti-restrictions rally took place in Cork’s city centre this afternoon.
Protesters gathered in Patrick Street chanting “stand up for your rights”, “yes to truth” and “no more lockdowns”.
The peaceful rally took place without incident even though there were some garda in sight.
Organisers asked people to social distance themselves and that they could wear masks if they wished.
It’s understood that further rallies are planned in the coming weeks.
