Gardaí have confirmed that a young boy has been rushed to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Co Limerick this afternoon.
It is understood the young was airlifted to Cork University Hospital following the crash which occurred at approximately 2pm at Knocknacarrga, Cappamore.
Gardaí say a woman aged in her 20s has also been taken Cork University Hospital with serious head injuries, whilst another woman who was driving the second vehicle was taken to University Hospital Limerick as a precautionary measure.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
