After falling off an electric scooter in Donegal this evening, a 13-yr-old kid is currently in the hospital. It is believed that he is in a severe state, reports The Mirror.
Gardaí and emergency personnel discovered him unconscious on a Buncrana local road. He was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital.
The road near Linsfort has been blocked to allow for a forensic investigation of the situation, and he is still in critical condition. There are local detours, reports The Mirror.
In an effort to determine what could have caused the kid to fall off the e-scooter, the Gardaí have called on anybody who may have seen the event to come forward.
“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic incident that occurred in Buncrana, County Donegal, on Monday, 27th January 2025,” said a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, reports The Mirror.
“Shortly after 4:45 pm, gardaí and emergency services were alerted after a 13-year-old male youth was found unresponsive after an apparent fall from an e-scooter on a local road at Linsfort. He was treated at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital. His condition is understood to be serious,” they added, reports The Mirror.
