
After being arrested in relation to an alleged attack on another young person in Galway this week, a teenage boy has been sent to a Garda Juvenile Liaison Officer, reports RTE.
After an altercation at Millars Lane in Knocknacarra last Thursday evening, the boy was taken into custody.
A youngster was reported hurt, and just before 11 p.m. on Halloween, the Gardaà were summoned to the site, reports RTE.
In the area where the claimed assault occurred, a knife was found.
After being brought to the hospital, the victim was released.
The arrested juvenile was sent to the Garda juvenile Diversion Programme after being released from detention yesterday, reports RTE.
Investigators are also looking into another incident that happened near Millers Lane a few hours ago, in which a teenage girl was seriously injured in her eye by a rocket.
At around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, she was transported to University Hospital Galway for medical attention.
Anyone who saw the incident is encouraged to come forward by the GardaÃ. Additionally, they are eager to examine any mobile phone footage that could have been captured on camera at the site, reports RTE.
