A man in his 20s has been detained in connection with alleged threats directed at an elected representative linked to the fuel blockades.
Gardaà in the south of the country arrested the individual under Section 5 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997, reports RTE.
He has since been released without charge.
Gardaà stated that a file will be forwarded to the DPP, reports RTE.
Investigations into the matter are continuing, reports RTE.
