A man in his 20s lost his life after being struck by a car in Donegal overnight.
It is understood that the young man was walking in the Brigend area of Co. Donegal along with another man, when they were both hit by a passing car.
The man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second pedestrian was not seriously injured.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
