Gardaí have arrested a teenager accused of “serious assault and robbery” of three tourists at Temple Bar in Dublin, reports Breaking News.
Three men in their 20s were seriously injured and taken to St James’s Hospital after the attack on Fownes Street Upper on Friday night.
All three have been released from the hospital, the gardaí said.
A Garda statement from Sunday morning said a minor man had been arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently being held at a Garda station in central Dublin.
“My thoughts are with the three people receiving hospital treatment for their injuries and I wish them a speedy recovery. Dubliners, those who call this city home, tourists and gardaí, all deserve to be safe in our capital city,” Sinn Féin TD Louise O’Reilly said, reports Breaking News.
“A sticking-plaster approach to policing our capital city will not cut it – we need real reform to keep communities safe,” she said, reports Breaking News.
