The funeral took place on Saturday in Co Mayo today of the mother and daughter sadly killed in a crash on the N26 between Foxford and Swinford last Tuesday.
46-yr-old Aisling Moore and her 8-yr-old daughter Abbigael died after their car collided with a lorry.
Hundreds of people attended the Funeral Mass on Saturday with classmates of Abbigael from St Aidan’s National School in Kiltimagh and Swinford Athletics Club paying their respects.
Abbigael’s father Arnaud Tournie paid an emotional tribute to them at Swinford Church.
He spoke about the bond between Aisling and daughter, and said Abbigael was talented “thanks to her mother”.
He added: “Your smiles are forever etched in my heart”, he told the congregation.
