This weekend is shaping up to be a bit of a mixed bag, weather wise.
Temperatures are expected to hit low to mid 20s around the midlands, but there will also be cloudy periods and isolated showers. There’s a risk of thunderstorms developing inland, too.
Today, Thursday, will be mostly dry and overcast, with temperatures ranging from 11-15C.
Friday will start off rather dull, but temperatures will steadily climb up to 17C as the day progresses, with good sunny spells throughout the day. Some patchy rain may develop towards the afternoon and evening, especially in southern and western counties.
Saturday and Sunday will bring a lot of sunshine, but cloud cover may develop at times. Temperature wise, the thermometer may hit low to mid 20s during the afternoon and early evening, cooler around coastal areas.
The outlook for next week and beyond is for mostly sunny, settled weather, with long bright spells around.
