Zelensky denies rumours that Ukraine is under major pressure to stop fighting back against Russia

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, initiated a tour of the Baltic republics with the aim of strengthening support for the war effort. He stated that Kyiv was not under any pressure from its allies to cease fighting Russia, reports RTE.

Mr. Zelensky is hoping to address Kyiv’s efforts to join NATO and the EU, end battle fatigue among Ukraine’s Western allies, and obtain greater financial and military aid during his trip to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

But just before the head of Ukraine began negotiations with President Gitanas Nauseda of Lithuania in Vilnius, the minister of defence for Italy declared in Rome that diplomacy must now lead the path towards peace.

“There are various voices in the media, I have read them all. But I think that our partners are not yet officially ready to give us such signals. At least I haven’t heard them personally,” he said, reports RTE.
