About 10,000 homes remain without power today, after two of the strongest storms in recent times lashed the country over the last few days.
Storm Ophelia knocked power out for thousands of homes and businesses on Monday. Repair work had to be halted on Saturday due to the arrival of Storm Brian. As a result, a large number of premises remain without power today.
ESB crews are working round the clock to restore power for everyone affected. Better weather conditions are forecast for the next few days, so all power should be back online soon.
