In another day of talks, representatives from Fianna Fail and Fine Gael are expected to meet again today, to keep talking about the formation of a minority government.
According to internal party sources, ‘good progress’ was made yesterday.
The Dáil will reconvene tomorrow, but no Taoiseach is expected to be elected.
Meanwhile, almost half the people polled on the issue of a new election said that they would prefer if the country went to the polls again.
