Former Carry On and Eastenders star Barbara Windsor has unger went surgery for a pacemaker after she collapsed at her home.
According to The Sun newspaper, Windsor who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014, was taken to hospital for emergency surgery after she fainted at her home.
The Sun say the 81-year-old required the surgery after she suffered complications with her Alzheimer’s medication.
Quoting her good friend Christopher Biggins the paper states that the actress developed breathing difficulties and felt dizzy whilst on the medication.
The news of star’s condition was also confirmed by her husband Scott Mitchell who confirmed that he has been looking after his wife since the operation last month.
Windsor who is best remembered for playing Peggy Mitchell in Eastenders, announced this past May that she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014.
