Over 120,000 students will begin their Leaving and Junior Certificate examinations today.
English Paper 1 will be on the cards for both Junior and Leaving Cert students with exams scheduled to being at 9am.
Leaving Cert Applied students will start with English and Communications.
This year will see 41 schools take an exam in a new subject called Politics and Society.
A total of 55,000 students will being their Leaving Cert while 66,000 will take their Junior Cert and 2,700 students will start the Leaving Certificate Applied programme.
