The Government has officially launched its get healthy campaign today.
In a bid to improve overall health for everyone the new initiative which was launched by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will encourage people to get active in 2018.
The Healthy Ireland Campaign also encourages people to eat well and look after their general well-being.
In announcement made earlier today Mr Varadkar said the government’s message to the people of Ireland is that small steps can make huge difference to your overall health and all you need to do is make a start.
It is thought the Government have launched the campaign after recent figures found that Ireland had one of the highest obesity rates in Europe.
