Police have said they have apprehended the gunman and all employees are safe. He has been taken in for questioning.
A major police operation is underway in the town of Waldshut, Germany.
It’s understood a gunman stormed a bank at 1:10pm Irish time.
Locals say gunshots have been heard but this has not been confirmed by local media. The gunman is said to still be inside the bank at the present time with police surrounding it.
Local media are stating they are unaware of the circumstances but that it may be an armed robbery rather than a terrorist attack.
