Authorities in Thailand have successfully rescued two of the 12 boys trapped inside a cave with their football coach.
The news comes after a rescue mission got underway at a 10am local time. It is believed the rescue efforts were stepped up as authorities became increasingly concerned about the incoming heavy rainfall.
The two boys were reportedly rescued shortly before 9pm local time, and they have been taken to a nearby hospital for a medical assessment.
It is understood the operation will take 4 days to complete and it will involve 18 divers, 13 of whom are internationally experienced.
The latest developments come as the boys and their coach have been trapped inside the Chiang Rai cave for more than two weeks.
