British-born ISIS recruiter nicknamed ‘White Widow’ reportedly killed in drone strike




Sally-Anne Jones, the so-called ‘White Widow’ was reportedly killed in a US drone strike last June, it has emerged today.

The British-born woman had left her home to join ISIS after converting to Islam. She used her Twitter account to recruit women to fight against the West.

Jones travelled to Syria in 2003 alongside her husband, Junaid Hussain, to join the extremist organization. Hussain was killed in a drone strike in 2015.

The White Widow, who had a 12 year old son, was targeted due to her association with Hussain, and hew own actions. A US drone strike killed her in Syria last June, according to military authorities.

It is unclear whether her son was with her at the time.
