British PM warns that a no Brexit deal would more than likely lead to a United Ireland referendum

The British Prime Minister Theresa May has urged her fellow Government ministers to re-think voting against her Brexit deal as a no vote could very well threaten the union of the United Kingdom.

Mrs May who is desperate to get a deal done, claimed on Monday that a referendum on an United Ireland would be more likely, if fellow cabinet ministers rejected the deal.

The British PM who has been given little room to maneuver on the much backstop agreement, also said a no deal Brexit would strengthen the hand of those looking for a border poll in Northern Ireland.

She also claimed that a no deal would also strengthen the hand of those calling for an independence vote in Scotland.

Mrs May’s comments come ahead of a crucial Brexit vote which is expected to be overwhelmingly voted down later today.
