There was some sad news announced later last night as the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that two Irish citizens have tragically died in Dubai.
The departments confirmation comes after reports suggested a woman and a young boy were killed in a tragic accident in the city.
Speaking about the deaths a spokesperson for the Department has said they are aware of the incident and they are currently in liaison with authorities in the UAE.
They also say they are providing consular assistance to the victims family.
