A Topless feminist attacked the Nativity display in the Vatican on Christmas Day
A topless Feminist protestor attacked the Nativity display in the Vatican on Monday shortly before the Pope was scheduled to give his Christmas Day message to up 50,000 faithful who gather for the annual address.
The attempted desecration and theft of the statue of the Baby Jesus is not the first publicity stunt that the radical feminist group āFemenā have staged in St Peters Square.
In 2014, Feminist activists from the same group entered St Peters Square, removed their tops to display their slogan āGod is Womanā on their chests and simulated masturbation with crucifixes in full view of tourists and clergy.
The Vatican has declined to seek charges against the protestors rather requesting that they respect the Sanctity of the Holy See and the sensitivities of the men, woman and children that are everyday visitors.
