Eir has issued an apology after a widespread outage that affected thousands of customers throughout Saturday.
Broadband users across Galway, Limerick, Louth, Wicklow, Meath, Cavan, Cork, Sligo, Mayo, Donegal and areas across the midlands were left without connectivity on Saturday afternoon.
The company said that the problem was due to DNS server issue.
Eir has confirmed that full service is now restored.
