Emergency Services have conducted a major training exercise on DCU campus that envisions a potential terrorist attack.
The Gardaí along with the National Ambulance Service, Dublin Fire Brigade and the Defence Forces are running a simulate drill which imagines a terrorist attack scenario.
In the scenario a car has struck a number of people before entering DCU campus and three men have begun randomly attacking civilians with knifes and firearms.
This scenario is hauntingly similar to several atrocities that have been carried out in the UK, Europe and US by Muslim terrorists.
It is believed that at least 150 Muslim extremists live in Ireland and that the some of London Bridge attackers of July 2017 had at least envisioned a similar attack in Dublin.
