There were some emotional scenes today as little Alesha McPhail was laid to rest.
Alesha aged 6 was tragically raped and murdered by a 16 year old teenager before her body was discovered at an abandoned hotel on the Isle of Bute earlier this month.
The six year old was laid in Coatbridge in North Lanarkshire this afternoon.
Hundreds of people lined the streets to pay their respects to little Alesha who was laid to rest in a pink coffin which had a picture of unicorn on the side.
Emotional guests who paid tribute to the little girl also dressed in pink at the request of Alesha’s family.
