26-year-old Esteban Santiago is being held in connection with yesterday’s shooting at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida.
The suspect is an ex-serviceman who did a tour of duty with the National Guard in Iraq. It is understood that he was discharged last year, and has been receiving psychiatric treatment since.
Five people died and eight more were injured after a lone gunman opened fire inside Terminal 2 at the facility.
