Freezing temperatures and possible snow flurries on high ground during Easter Sunday and Monday

The weather over the Easter weekend will not be favorable to outdoor activities, it seems, as Met Eireann has predicted freezing temperatures and even snow flurries on some areas.

Today, Friday, will remain cold but mostly bright, with good spells of sunshine and some scattered showers, and temperatures reaching 9C in places.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and cool, with temperatures hovering around 9C. Cold night though, with lows of -3C possible.

Sunday will begin very cold, with rain developing from the southwest throughout the afternoon. Highest temperatures 7-8C.

Forecast for Monday remains somewhat unclear, but early indications are for heavy, blustery rain, with the possibility of sleet and snow on high ground.
