Ireland will experience one of its first spells of winter tonight as temperatures are expected to significantly drop overnight.
The brisk spell which will see highs of between 0 – 5C comes after week of mild weather across the country.
According to Met Eireann the low temperatures will be bring ground frost to some areas across the country.
Although it is expected to remain largely dry it is expected that some fog and mist will develop before dawn.
The drop in temperatures will remain over the weekend as highs of between 12 – 15C are expected on Saturday, whilst it will become significantly colder overnight.
