Gardaí in Longford have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 20s was stabbed at a shopping centre in Friday evening.
It is understood the man who was taken Mullingar’s Midland Regional Hospital for treatment for his injuries was stabbed during an altercation at Longford Shopping Centre at approximately 6:30pm.
Gardaí say the man was taken to hospital but its believed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
They also have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Longford Garda Station on 043 3350570.
