A new report has found that the number of people opting to do their Christmas shopping up the North has dramatically dropped by 7% from 14% this time last year.
The report conducted by AA Ireland and included 5,500 people has shown that since the start of the economic downturn in 2008 the overall figure f those choosing to purchase their products in the North has dropped from 27% to just 7%.
The report also found that the amount Irish consumers buying in retail stores South of the border has increased significantly from 69% in 2011 to 77% this year.
