There was some good news announced earlier this afternoon as Gardaí in Co Tipperary confirmed that an experienced hillwalker who went missing in the Galtee Mountains has been found safe and well.
It is understood the wide scale search operation got underway after the man’s wife raised the alarm.
However thankfully the man was located after Valentia Coastguard, volunteers and two rescue dog teams carried a detailed search.
Gardaí say they would like to thank everyone involved in the search.
