The Minister for Health Simon Harris has said a photograph which showed a mother and her children sleeping in a Garda Station was upsetting to everyone.
According to RTÉ News, Mr Harris who was speaking before a forum in Arklow, said the photograph clearly caused great distress to everyone across the country and what happened clearly wasn’t right.
Mr Harris who also defended the Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy, also said the government’s top priority was to address to current social housing waiting list.
The Health Minister added what happened to the family involved shouldn’t be happening in modern day Ireland and no one anywhere could suggest what happened was right.
