A 7-year-old girl has sadly died after she was shot dead when a gunman opened fire on the car she was travelling in with her family.
The horrific incident which occurred in Wallisville and the Beltway, in Texas, at approximately 7am on Sunday morning, has now led to a major police manhunt.
According to reports in the US, the little girl was killed when a gunman travelling in a red pick-up truck decided to pull up beside the family car outside a Walmart store and open fire.
Police say the four other young girls in the car have been left traumatised by the incident, whilst their mother has been treated for gunshot wounds to the arm.
It is not yet known the motive behind the attack, but police say they are currently searching for a man aged in his 40s.
