It has been confirmed in the past hour that Republic of Ireland international Seamus Coleman has suffered a severe break to his leg during tonight’s encounter against Wales.
Coleman who was one of the stand out performers on the night suffered the nasty break after an appalling tackle by Welsh full back Neil Taylor.
The cringing and reckless tackle resulted in a straight red card for the Welshman.
The incident which marred the game as whole will leave the Everton fullback out for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile the game ended in a positive result for Ireland as they recorded a 0-0 draw which leaves them joint top of the group with Serbia on 11 points.
