Police in Spain have launched a major investigation after a 13-year-old Irish girl was allegedly raped on a beach during a holiday in Tenerife.
Local authorities say the is young girl was attacked by a European man after she became separated from her family member during a walk near the Playa de las Americas resort last Thursday.
According to the Spanish website ElDia.es report the young girl was attacked by āan individual of caucasian appearanceā. Police say Caucasian man befriended the young girl and brought her to a near by beach, where the attack was allegedly carried out at approximately 2am.
