One of the country’s biggest supermarket chains have announced today that all high energy softdrink products sold at its stores will not be sold to anyone under the age of 16.
The supermarket behind the latest move Aldi, say from March 1st those wishing to buy energy drinks such as Red Bull will be required to present ID.
In a brief statement an Aldi spokesperson said: “We at Aldi have decided to implement the new changes after recent health reports found that high energy softdrinks were being largely consumed by children under the age of 16.”
