The young Dublin woman who is a wheelchair user tweeted about how she missed her stop as no attendant was waiting to help her from the train.

Currently living in Bray, Co Wicklow, 25 year old Danielle Lavigne stated that she had got in contact with Irish Rail to ensure an attendant would be available to assist her off the train at Connolly Station.

This is standard practice with wheelchair users.

However when she got to her stop, no attendant was waiting to assist her. As a result the young woman missed her stop.

Wheelchair users of Irish Rail require assistance as there is no automatic ramp facility.

Ms Lavigne said that she had spoken to a company representative who apologised on behalf of the company.

A full investigation is being carried out into the cause of the incident.
