There was some sad news announced this evening as it was confirmed that Last of The Summer Wine actor Peter Sallis has died at the age of 96.
The actor who is best known for his appearance in Last of the Summer Wine and famed voice of animation series Wallace in Wallace and Gromit died peacefully with his family by his side.
Sallis who was the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes of Last of the Summer Wine, played the iconic Norman “Cleggy” Clegg from its first episode in 1973 until the series ended in 2010.
Sallis was also famed for voicing Wallace in the smash hit animation series Wallace and Gromit.
