A Kerry family can finally relax and enjoy a happy Christmas as their son (15-year-old Donnacha Ireland) has been found safe and sound after he and friend (12-year-old Katie Mangan) were see boarding a train from their home of Kerry to Dublin Sunday evening before arriving at Heuston station at 8:45 Sunday night.
Concern struck the worried families yesterday as both children failed to return home, however they were cited around the capital and the families had many people on the look out for the pair before being located at 1 am this morning.
The boy’s father, Andy Ireland spoke to RTE’s Morning Ireland earlier this morning:
“It seem they’d just gone for … I wouldn’t say a laugh… but they felt the need to go and free themselves… just to be there… just to go,”
As you can imagine Mr.Ireland was over the moon when he found them explaining he couldn’t even put into words his delight “I don’t think I had the words to be honest”
