The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow warning for heavy rain, affecting the following areas: Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, and Waterford.
Rainfall of up to 40mm is expected across many of these areas, possibly leading to localized flooding.
The warning will remain in place between 9pm on tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.
