More problems for the National Lottery as number mix up fiasco story goes international

The National Lottery has been under some scrutiny from the Irish public over the last few days amidst fixing claims in last weekends Lotto Plus 1 draw.

But now it seems the bosses at lottery headquarters will have more to worry about as the fiasco has become international news over the past 24 hours with the story being published in newspapers and media outlets as far away as New Zealand.

The fiasco which has had many Irish citizens questioning the legitimacy of the draws, has come about after one eagle eyed viewer noticed something very strange during Saturday’s draw when they apparently spotted two different numbers on the same ball.

Although the National Lottery have released the statement to clarify the mix up saying it was nothing more than an optical illusion created by studio lighting, many of the Irish public are still questioning the national lottery’s explanation after the ball apparently showed the numbers 33 and 38.

The rather unusual scenario has created a divide amongst those on social media with many offering their own explanations that will surely be debated over the coming days ahead.

However for the national lottery the situation cannot go away quick enough as not only the Irish media have picked up on the debate it seems the world’s media has highlighted the story too with media outlets in the UK, Australia and New Zealand all reporting on the unusual story.
