The European Union may soon have another member state after Bosnia and Herzegovina have had their initial application to enter the common market provisionally accepted.
The former state of Yugoslavia will hope to be successful in their campaign to join the EU, although they will be subjected to an extensive review by the European Commission.
It is understood the EU have provisionally accepted Bosnia’s initial application, however European leaders have called on them to continue with their “socio-economic reforms and reforms in the area of rule of law and public administration.”
The country have also been asked to address the ongoing issue that will allow for ethnic minorities to run for high office.
