According to reports this morning the highly contested new bin charges could be scrapped altogether if Sinn Fein’s new bill is approved in the Dail this week.
It is understood Sinn Féin will submit a new motion later today which will call for the complete scrapping of new pay-by-weight bin charges.
Although for the bill to pass through Senate it must receive the full support of Fianna Fail. If the Sinn Fein does recieve the full support from Mr Martin’s party the new scheme could be abolished within three weeks.
