Official investigation launched after multiple pilots report UFO sightings off Kerry coast

An official investigation has been launched by the Irish Aviation Authority after several pilots from separate airlines reported a UFO sighting over Kerry on Friday November 9 th The Guardian reports.

On the morning of November 9 th, the captain of a British airways flight from Montreal to London reported an unidentified object moving past her aircraft to Shannon Air Traffic control. The pilot reported two lights moving alongside the plane before disappearing at an incomprehensible speed.

The audibly perplexed pilot asked if some kind of military exercise was being conducted in the area to which Shannon Air Traffic control reported they had no knowledge of any such exercise and could not see any other objects on radar.

Pilots of other aircraft in the general vicinity at the time also reported seeing unidentified lights.

A Virgin Airlines pilot flying from Orlando to Manchester is recorded as telling Shannon that the objects looked like a ā€œmeteor or another object making some kind of re-entryā€, and that there were ā€œmultiple objects following the same sort of trajectory ā€“ very bright from where we were.ā€

A spokesperson for the IAA told the Irish Times that ā€œThis report will be investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process.ā€
