On the rise: Latest survey finds that Irish parents spend on average €845 on their child’s first holy communion




According to a recent survey carried out by the Ulster Bank Irish parents spend over €800 in their child’s Holy First Communion.

The latest survey found that on average parents spend €845 on the event with 92% using their savings to spend on the day.

Although a third of parents believe the money should be spent elsewhere i.e birthdays and holidays, almost half say there is significant pressure on spending for the occasion.
