A 46-year-old man has lost his life in an industrial accident in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
The incident took place at the Premier Periclase plant on the Boyne Road, at around 3:30pm this afternoon. The victim reportedly suffered serious head injuries. He was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
