There is outrage amongst thousands of Facebook users as the popular social media website has been down for the past number of hours.
According to reports a high number of users in the US and Ireland/UK have complained that their newsfeed will not refresh. It is believed the major crash happened at 5:30pm GMT and the website is still experiencing technical problems.
Although no explanation has been given for the unexpected crash, Facebook say they are currently working to resolve the problem.
The websites malfunction has seemingly caused a backlash amongst it’s users as many have taken to Twitter to complain about the website. Many users have reported that they can successfully login but there newsfeed will not update.
It seems the glitch has also effected the social media website’s app as many users have reported their Facebook app crashing whilst trying to read their newsfeed.
