French aircraft have carried out bombing operations in Syria today, striking several key ISIS targets in the Raqqa region.
The jets dropped heavy ordnance on a command centre, a recruitment centre for jihadists, a munitions depot and a training camp for fighters. The munitions depot and the training camp were obliterated, according to the post-mission debriefing.
Twelve aircraft launched from air bases in the UAE and Jordan took part in the operation.
The air raid occurs two days after a string of coordinated, ISIS-led terror attacks in the French capital that left 129 dead and hundreds more injured, many of them critically.
