Power failure caused widespread disruption across Dublin this morning, up to 30,000 customers affected

A power failure in the Clonshaugh area of North Dublin caused widespread disruption across the capital this morning, affecting up to 30,000 people.

Traffic lights were reportedly dark across many parts of the city for an extended period of time, and the fault caused significant delays for DART and Irish Rail services too.

Crews restored power within a couple of hours of the outage being reported.
